Venice Bungalow

I landed in L.A. 3 1/2 weeks ago, and with deep gratitude to several of my friends, have successfully couch-surfed until I moved into my new house (!) over the weekend. Meanwhile, all last week, I had the greatest pleasure to (over)stay at a friend of the family's Venice bungalow.
The interior: Think cob-webbed Basquiat genius anarchy. It was beyond cool, although it smelled a bit like moth balls and cat (on a bad day, what i think my future might smell like). Here are some snaps!

Some Gems

Drop me off anywhere in the world and my idea of acclimation is finding a flea market, haggling to an embarrassing degree, and, if I have the restraint to wait, finding a dry cleaners. All within the first few days. L.A. has amazing flea markets, and I haven't even been to the Rose Bowl yet. Here are some of my finds, at $30 or less, of course!
